Montenegro, Romania to enhance cooperation in infrastructure, tousism, energy
Podgorica, Montenegro (5 July 2013) – Prime Minister Milo Đukanović hosted Thursday Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlățean for talks on further cooperation between the two countries that cherish very good relations through bilateral collaboration and Romania's support for Montenegro integration bids.
Minister Corlățean voiced the Romanian Government's willingness to support further Montenegro’s EU and NATO integration efforts, as well as to strengthen political and economic ties, which will be additionally enhanced through the several bilateral agreements that were signed in Podgorica on Thursday.
Both sides also voiced readiness to establish an economic cooperation committee and pledged full support for the organisation of a business forum which would link the two economies and business people, especially in the sectors of infrastructure, tourism and energy.
PM Đukanović expressed regret over the tragedy that befell Romania and the families of the victims of the recent bus accident, hoping that the injured are recovering successfully. Minister Corlățean thanked Montenegro and its citizens for the solidarity and tremendous support provided in the tragic event for Romania.
