World Bank willing to support futher Montenegro's development progress

Podgorica, Montenegro (8 July 2013) -- Deputy Prime Minister Vujica Lazović met with Executive Director of the Netherlands Constituency in the World Bank Frank Heemskerk.
The meeting concluded that Montenegro has made numerous efforts towards achieving progress and that the World Bank is willing to provide further support to Montenegro in that regard.
DPM Lazović said that in the coming Montenegro will put particular emphasis on the implementation of investment projects through public-private partnerships.
The two officials agreed on the fact that the energy, wood processing, tourism and agriculture are recognised as key development opportunities. In that regard, they stressed the necessity to harmonise regulations in order to provide potential investors with good infrastructure and an optimal environment. Both sides underscored the IT’s importance for future growth, in terms of creating a transparent government, and its proper application in the educational process.The meeting concluded that Montenegro has made numerous efforts towards achieving progress and that the World Bank is willing to provide further support to Montenegro in that regard.
