Podgorica, Montenegro (12 September 2013) -- Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Đukanović hosted Wednesday Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Elchin Ilyas oglu Afandiyev.
The visit confirms very good relations between the two countries, which have developed excellent economic cooperation, Prime Minister Đukanović said. He pointed out that the biggest Azerbaijani investment in Montenegro in Kumbor is an example of successful interstate cooperation, which strongly stimulates further Montenegro’s economic development.
Deputy Prime Minister Afandiyev welcomed the efforts made by the Montenegrin Government in order to improve the overall environment and create conditions for significant economic growth and development in the future. This is a solid foundation for continued investment cooperation between Azerbaijan and Montenegro, he added.
The two officials noted the two countries have a common interest in expanding their cooperation in many other fields of social life, particularly referring to the projects implemented with the help of Azerbaijan’s donations in the municipalities of Podgorica and Bijelo Polje.
