Podgorica, Montenegro (17 September 2013) -- Prime Minister Milo Đukanović hosted Monday Italian Economic Development Minister Flavio Zanonato.

Strategic investors in the energy sector A2A and Terna, important not only for Montenegro, but also for the region, further strengthen trust and partnership between Italy and Montenegro, he pointed out.
Confindustria, Italian largest employers’ organisation, consisting of 150 thousand companies and 260 territorial and sectoral associations, plans to open its Balkan office in Podgorica, which will give a strong impetus for further cooperation in the field of economy, the meeting concluded.
Italian Minister of Economic Development said that Montenegro and its government have achieved remarkable success in pursuing overall reform, significant for the country’s further European and Euro-Atlantic perspective and development. In that regard, Italy will continue to provide strong support to Montenegro, Minister Zanonato stressed. Both sides agreed that resolving outstanding issues that Italian investors have in the energy sector will be an additional incentive for promoting economic cooperation and implementing development projects of mutual interest.
