Montenegro-Turkey: High quality of bilateral relations, increased cooperation potential

Podgorica, Montenegro (20 September 2013) -- Prime Minister Milo Đukanović hosted Thursday Turkish Minister of Customs and Trade Hayati Yazici.

Stressing satisfaction with cooperation in many areas, PM Đukanović particularly pointed out the significance of the Customs Mutual Assistance Agreement, which will facilitate communication and boost potentials for further commercial and economic cooperation between Montenegro and Turkey.

Recalling positive experiences of cooperation with Turkish investors, he voiced Montenegro’s openness and willingness to continue the partnership through the implementation of major development projects.

Turkish Minister Yazici said that the Turkish investors’ interest is in both countries interest, pointing out that the cooperation will be continued and upgraded on the basis of very good relations between the two countries.

Minister Yazici also commended Montenegro's progress towards EU and NATO membership, adding that Turkey will continue to support the country’s efforts in that area.
