United Kingdom truly and strongly supports Montenegro's EU and NATO bid

Podgorica, Montenegro (2 October 2013) -- The United Kingdom will continue to be one of the truest and strongest advocates of Montenegro’s aspirations to join the EU and NATO, newly appointed British Ambassador to Montenegro Ian Whittnig underlined at the meeting with Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milo Đukanović earlier today.
He informed PM Đukanović about renowned British companies’ interest to invest in Montenegro and expressed satisfaction with the announced PM Đukanović’s participation at a regional investment conference, scheduled for the next year in London.
Prime Minister Đukanović expressed satisfaction with the quality of relations between the two countries, and expressed appreciation for the continued support the United Kingdom provides to Montenegro in the process of overall reform and development, as well as in its EU and NATO bid.
Montenegro is a stable country, a growing multi-ethnic democracy, resource-rich for dynamic economic development, which will continue to cherish good neighbourly cooperation, PM Đukanović pointed out. Montenegro's membership in the NATO and EU will further contribute to enhancing regional stability, he concluded.
