Government determines quota of 19 500 work permits for foreigners in 2014
Podgorica, Montenegro (31 October 2013) – According to the Decision on determination of number of work permits for foreigners, the Government determined 19 500 work permits for 2014, Labour Minister Predrag Bošković told the press following the Cabinet meeting earlier today.
Out of the quota of 19 500 work permits, 3,000 are determined for employment of foreigners in capital projects, as next year some major development projects that are crucial for Montenegro’s overall and economic progress will start or be ongoing, Minister Bošković explained. In that regard, he particularly referred to major tourism projects such as the new SOCAR-funded One & Only Resort in Kumbor in the Bay of Kotor, a sustainably oriented holiday resort on Luštica Peninsula, as well as the Bar-Boljare highway and the second block of the Thermal Power Plant Pljevlja.
