A workshop on implementation of IPARD Programme

A workshop on implementation of IPARD Programme for representatives of the National Fund, future IPARD Agency and Managing Authority in Montenegro was held on 30–31 October 2013 (Cetinje and Podgorica) within the “Twinning Project Strengthening Rural Development Programme under IPARD”. Short-term experts Andrus Rahnu, Žaneta Pisarskiene and Pieter van Vugt shared their valuable experiences and lessons learnt in establishing the Operating Structure in Estonia, Lithuania and the Netherlands respectively and discussed the accreditation criteria with the participants.

The Workshop was designed as interactive group work – description of the implementations process (tasks, responsibilities, activities, documents), identification of weaknesses in the administration process functions, as well as interactions between different departments (institutions) for effective implementation of IPARD Programme. It also presented the state of play as well as ideas on the necessary following steps and mutual cooperation between the actors involved in the process.
