Podgorica, Montenegro (15 November 2013) – Cooperation with the civil society is invaluable for the national dialogue on NATO membership, and the Government’s NATO Membership Council wishes to ensure synergy in the process by partnering with NGOs in promoting this strategic interest, National Coordinator for NATO Nebojša Kaluđerović said in his meeting earlier today with representatives of NGOs concerned with NATO.

Mr Kaluđerović underlined the readiness of his NATO communication team to cooperate closely with NGOs in their numerous NATO-related activities, which was echoed by civil society’s willingness to join forces in the process.

The importance of education on NATO was underscored, and it was agreed that the most important aspect of the process is dialogue, especially with citizens and stakeholders not in favour of Montenegro’s NATO membership.
