Montenegro’s Economy Ministry receives 10 bids in tender for building hydropower plants

Podgorica, Montenegro (19 November 2013) – The Ministry of Economy received yesterday 10 bids from domestic and foreign companies and consortia for concessions to build small hydropower plants on eight waterways in Montenegro.
The tender was published on 11 July and criteria for assessing the most favourable offer were: experience in managing hydropower plants, financial capability, technical solutions, power in mHE to be installed, annual energy output, domestic market experience, and multi-purpose solutions. The selection will come after the evaluation of the bids, and rankings will be made for each waterway individually.
The companies that submitted the bids are:
- Consortium Plava Hydro Power, Kosovo
- Hidroenergija Montenegro DOO Berane, Montenegro
- Consortium Atlas Invest DOO, Podgorica, Montenegro, Hidrowatt DOO, Podgorica, Montenegro (submitted three bids)
- Consortium Hydro Kaludarska, Czech Republic
- Consortium Hydro Vrbnica, Czech Republic
- Consortium Interenergo, Slovenia
- Energie Zotter Bau GMbh & Co.Ka, Austria
- Consortium Hydro Bistrica, Podgorica, Montenegro
