National Coordinator Kaluđerović, Ambassador: Norway supports Montenegro’s NATO bid and will continue supporting it

Podgorica, Montenegro (3 December 2013) – National Coordinator for NATO and Prime Minister’s Foreign Policy Adviser Nebojša Kaluđerović hosted Norway’s Ambassador to Montenegro Nils Ragnar Kamsvåg for talks on Montenegro’s NATO bid and Norway’s support to the process.

The National Coordinator informed the Ambassador of the efforts made by the Government and the NATO Membership Council towards launching a comprehensive public dialogue aimed at improving citizen understanding of the process of Euro-Atlantic integration. Mr Kaluđerović noted in particular the Government’s reform activities in line with NATO standards and presented future activities of the NATO Communication Team.

Ambassador Kamsvåg noted that Norway has a very positive view of Montenegro’s ambition to join NATO and fully supports the country’s bid. He underlined the Norwegian cooperation in that regard will continue in the future.
