Montenegro improves standing to 67th from 75th in 2013 Transparency International survey on corruption perception

Berlin, Germany (4 December 2013) – According to the latest Transparency International report on the perception of corruption, published yesterday, Montenegro stands at 67th position with the corruption perception index of 44. This is an improvement over last year, when Montenegro was ranked 75th, with the corruption perception index of 41.
In the Transparency International list, Montenegro shares the spot with Macedonia. And Slovenia and Croatia are the only countries of the region ranked better than Montenegro.
It is important to note that Montenegro’s ranking is better than that of several EU countries, such as Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece.
