Three offers submitted for privatisation of Adriatic Shipyard Bijela

Podgorica, Montenegro (17 February 2014) – Three renowned companies from Italy, the Netherlands, and Lithuania submitted bids in the international public tender for sale of 61.5749% of the joint stock company “Adriatic Shipyard” AD Bijela published on 21 January 2014. Those companies are:
• Fincantieri S.p.A., Italy
• Damen Shipyards Group, the Netherlands
• Consortium: Blotraco Shipping Ltd Cyprus, Roman Denkovych and UAB Litana ir KO, Lithuania
Montenegro's Tender Commission for Privatisation, in cooperation with the privatisation advisor, will evaluate the fulfilment of the qualification criteria. Following the evaluation, the companies that voiced interest and met the criteria will be eligible to purchase the tender documentation, thus entitling themselves to submit the binding bids until 15 April 2014 at 12.00.

The Bijela Shipyard is the biggest ship-repairing yard in the Southern Adriatic, established in 1927. It is located in the Bay of Kotor, one of the safest natural harbours in the world with centuries-long ship-building and maritime tradition.
