National Coordinator for NATO in Warsaw: Poland to continue providing support for Montenegro's accession to NATO
Warsaw, Poland - (21 February 2014) -- National Coordinator for NATO and Foreign Affairs Advisor to Prime Minister Nebojša Kaluđerović met in Warsaw with Undersecretary of State in Poland’s Foreign Ministry Boguslaw Winid, with whom he discussed processes of Montenegro’s integration with NATO.
Mr Winid pointed out that Montenegro is a positive story in the region and encouraged further reforms in the defence area. He said that Montenegro’s accession to NATO is a response to the challenges the region faces and a reliable factor of the overall stability.
Montenegro's Coordinator for NATO Kaluđerović reiterated Montenegro’s strong commitment to meeting obligations on the eve of the 2014 NATO summit’s decisions on the next enlargement phase.
It was also agreed the partnership relations between Montenegro and Poland, as well as the 2014 bilateral agenda, give new impetus to the integration process and overall development of Montenegro.
