Prime Minister Đukanović hosts Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasulides

Podgorica, Montenegro (25 February 2014) -- Prime Minister Milo Đukanović hosted earlier today Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasulides and thanked him for Cyprus's continuous and valuable support for Montenegro’s reform process and progress towards the EU and NATO membership. He emphasised that Montenegro will continue to play an active role in the Western Balkans and contribute to its stability, democracy and economic development.
Cypriot Foreign Minister Kasulides commended the way in which Montenegro renewed its independence and built a stable, democratic and multi-ethnic society, as well as its remarkable achievements on the road to the EU and NATO.
The two officials also discussed possibilities for boosting cooperation in terms of energy and tourism, stressing the importance of the recently signed bilateral agreements on combating organised crime, and maritime education.
