Prime Minister Milo Đukanovic met on Sunday evening in Luxembourg with representatives of Montenegro’s immigrant associations in that country.

He voiced satisfaction with the opportunity to meet representatives of one of the most populous community of Montenegro's emigrants, and thanked them for their contribution to the promotion of Montenegro.

The Prime Minister said the exemplary behavior and work of the Montenegrin expatriates, as well as their successful integration, serve as a solid basis for developing good neighbourly relations between Montenegro and Luxembourg.

He informed Montenegro’s expatriates about current political, economic and integration processes in Montenegro, with particular emphasis on the development projects which implementation is about to start or is ongoing. In this context, particular attention was paid to the need for stronger activation of development potentials and resources in the north of Montenegro, the majority of the Montenegrin immigrants now living in Luxembourg originate from.

Representatives of the Montenegrin diaspora were most interested in the announced opening of Montenegro’s diplomatic and consular missions in Luxembourg, the establishment of a direct air route between Podgorica and Luxembourg, as well as in benefits and opportunities for returnees.
