Luxembourg: PM Đuklanović meets with Grand Duke Henri, President of Chambers of Deputies Mars di Bartolomeo
During his official visit to Luxembourg, Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milo Đukanović met with Henri, Grand Duke of Luxembourg, and President of the Chambers of Deputies Mars di Bartolomeo.
"Montenegro is a stable Balkan state, with a clear projection of its economic and democratic development within European and Euro-Atlantic frameworks," Prime Minister Đukanović said at the meeting with President of the Chambers of Deputies Mars di Bartolomeo. He also stressed that Montenegro is keenly interested in developing parliamentary cooperation with Luxembourg, adding that for that purpose a friendships group with the Benelux countries has been set up.
President of the Chambers of Deputies Mars di Bartolomeo said that Luxembourg and Montenegro have many common features and common positions on important issues, adding that one of them is multiculturalism.
The two officials voiced satisfaction with the role of the Montenegrin citizens working in Luxembourg in building friendly relations between Montenegro and Luxembourg.
Prime Minister Đukanović made a guest appearance at the meeting of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Luxembourg’s Parliament, which exchanged views on Montenegro’s integration and reform processes, and current regional affairs.
Prime Minister Đukanović also met with Henri, Grand Duke of Luxembourg, with whom he discussed the very good relations established between the two countries, as well as Montenegro’s successful path towards the EU membership.
