Successful cooperation with OSCE contribute to Montenegro’s democratic maturity
Podgorica, Montenegro (27 March 2014) -- Gerard Studman, Special Representative of the OSCE's Chairperson for the Western Balkans paid an official visit to Montenegro, where he met on Wednesday with Prime Minister Milo Đukanović for talks on the cooperation between Montenegro and the OSCE.
Prime Minister Đukanović welcomed Mr Studman’s appointment as the OSCE Chairperson’s Special Representative for the Western Balkan, adding that and the previous cooperation with the OSCE contibuted to Montenegro's democratic maturity.
He informed the OSCE’s Studman about the Government’s commitment to the EU and NATO integration process, as well as to reform processes at the national level, particularly referring to the achieved financial consolidation and development projects aimed at boosting economic growth.
Special Representative Studman commended Prime Minister Đukanović and the government’s policy which succeeded in preserving and maintaining stability and multiethnic harmony during the hard times in the Western Balkans, stressing the state’s policy has confirmed its long-term validity.
