US Senator John McCain: Montenegro’s membership to NATO could contribute to regional stability

Washington, D.C., the USA (9 April 2014) – Prime Minister Milo Đukanović met with the US Senator John McCain, during his official visit to the USA.

PM Đukanović thanked Senator McCain for the American Congress’s continued support for Montenegro’s European and Euro-Atlantic accession processes, adding that mutual cooperation should be strengthened in order to provide peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

Senator McCain sad that solid arguments speak in favour of Montenegro’s progress within the NATO accession process.

“Montenegro’s membership to NATO could be a driving force of stability in the region”, he emphasised.

The meeting also discussed situation in the Montenegrin economy, particularly economic and investment opportunities, as well as current regional and global trends.
