Montenegro's Foreign Ministry rejects improper and arbitrary assessments of Information and Press Department of Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Podgorica, Montenegro (14 April 2014) – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration rejects improper and arbitrary assessments and opinions presented in the statement of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding Montenegro Prime Minister Milo Đukanović’s visit to Washington. All the Prime Minister's statements made publicly or during his talks with the US officials are in line with Montenegro’s national interests and its foreign policy commitments to the NATO and the EU membership, and are not anti-Russian.
The Foreign Ministry voices belief that the relations and cooperation between Montenegro and Russia will continue to develop in the spirit of centuries-long tradition, and the sovereign right of each state to decide on its domestic development and foreign policy priorities.
