Prime Minister of Poland Tusk: Montenegro symbol of stability
Warsaw, Poland (14 May 2014) – Prime Minister Milo Đukanović paid official visit to Poland, where he met with his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk for talks on Montenegro’s Euro-Atlantic accession process, as well as bilateral cooperation between the two states.
Poland fully supports Montenegro’s strategic foreign policy goals, particularly referring to NATO and EU membership, PM Tusk highlighted.
“You are a symbol of stability and you’ve proven your commitment to European and Euro-Atlantic integration. In that regard, Poland is willing to provide support to Montenegro in the coming NATO Summit”, he added.
PM Đukanović noted that Montenegro and Poland cherish common European values and emphasised that the European and Euro-Atlantic integration process is important for facing global challenges and strengthening regional stability.
The two officials agreed that the future of Western Balkans is to become a part of the EU and NATO and that these strategic goals have no alternative.
This official visit will boost friendly and fruitful cooperation between Montenegro and Poland, namely in the field of economy, the meeting concluded.
