Montenegro one of most active members of Regional Initiative on Cooperation between Central and Eastern Europe and China

Beijing, China (15 May 2014) – Deputy Prime Minister’s Advisor and National Coordinator of the Initiative on Cooperation between Central and Eastern Europe and China Goran Jovetić attended the 3rd meeting of National Coordinators, which took place in Beijing on 12 -13 May.

Advisor Jovetić highlighted that Montenegro is one of the most active members of the Initiative, and that it has contracted the most approved funds for the implementation of the candidate projects within the favourable loan line of EUR 10 billion aimed at enhancing cooperation between Central and Eastern Europe’ countries and China.

Furthermore, there is space for further improvement of the collaboration, particularly referring to the need to increase direct investments from China, reduce the trade deficit, increase the number of Chinese tourists and boost cooperation in infrastructure, Advisor Jovetić added.

New official site on cooperation between Central and Eastern European countries and China (www.China-CEEC.org) was also presented at the meeting. The site will contain all information and data related to this important regional initiative.
