Rescue teams of Montenegro's army engaged at full capacity in flood hit areas in Serbia

PR BureauPodgorica, Montenegro (20 May 2014) -- Members of the Armed Force of Montenegro, who were sent to Serbia to provide assistance to flood-hit areas, are engaged at their full capacity. 

On Monday, a part of the personnel assisted medical staff in delivering drug in the area of Obrenovac and surrounding villages, while the other part was engaged in the transport of veterinary teams to the villages near the municipality of Šabac.

The rest of the personnel were deployed to the territory of the villages Ratari, Piroman, Grabovac and Skela to deliver food and medicine, and undertake rescue activities.

On Monady afternoon, following the order issued by the Serbian Interior Minister Nebojša Stefanović for immediate and complete evacuation of residents of Obrenovac due to expectations of the a new flood wave, all the teams were involved in the evacuation of residents of Zabrežje until late in the evening.
