Slovenia and Turkey voice interest in construction of hydropower plants on River Morača

Podgorica, Montenegro (29 May 2014) -- Prime Minister Milo Đukanović hosted earlier today ambassadors of Slovenia and Turkey, Vladimir Gašparič and Mehmet Tanilir, with whom he discussed possibilities for investment cooperation.

Ambassadors Gasparič and Tanilir voiced interest in the construction of hydropower plants on the River Morača worth more than half a billion euros, in cooperation with partners from Montenegro. They informed the Prime Minister about the initiative towards signing the memorandum of understanding between the line ministries, which would unify economic potential of the three countries with the aim to implementing the major development project.

Prime Minister Milo Đukanović took a positive attitude to the interest of Slovenia and Turkey in the context of extremely good neighbourly relations and Montenegro’s strategic development priorities.
