Members of Montenegrin and Slovenian navy awarded with certificates in Tivat, Montenegro

Final exercise of destroying unexploded underwater mines marked the completion of the second, final phase of the basic training programme for mine divers, organised by the Navy of Montenegro and the 430th naval division of the Slovenian army.
The first part of the course consisting of a theoretical part and a basic practical exercise was held in Slovenia over the past six months. The second part, which includes final practical exercises, was held in Montenegro, in the period from 19 - 30 May 2014.
At the closing ceremony held in the Collection of Maritime Heritage museum in Porto Montenegro in the municipality of Tivat, certificates for successful completion of the course were awarded by Montenegrin and Slovenian defence ministers Milica Pejanović–Đurišić and Roman Jakšić.
Addressing the attendees, Commander of the Montenegrin Navy, Captain Darko Vuković and Commander of the 430th navy battalion, Captain Boris Geršak, highlighted the successful cooperation in the training programmes, wishing the cooperation to be extended in the future in terms of new training programmes, joint participation in exercises and strengthening security in the region and beyond.
