PM Đukanović visits Zagreb: Good neighbourly cooperation, Croatia's support for Montenegro's integration path

Zagreb, Croatia (2 June 2014) – During his official visit to Croatia, Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milo Đukanovic met with President Ivo Josipović. 

PM Đukanovic voiced satisfaction with the quality of bilateral relations and thanked President Josipović for Croatia’s support for Montenegro and for its understanding of the integration processes and needs of the region.

President Josipović confirmed Croatia’s strong support for Montenegro’s EU and NATO bids and offered its expert assistance in further negotiations.

The two officials agreed that both countries are strongly committed to good neighbourly cooperation and regional initiatives as a proper response to current challenges.

Both sides agreed Montenegro and Croatia have developed excellent cooperation in all areas, and that possibilities for strengthening economic ties should be used and improved in the interest of both countries.

Prime Minister’s Milo Đukanović’s visit to Croatia testifies to partnership relations between the two countries and is an example of how all issues can be resolved through negotiations, the meeting concluded.
