Podgorica, Montenegro (17 June 2014) -- One of the most prominent online payment services in the world, PayPal, is available in Montenegro, starting today. Since couple hours ago, Montenegro is one of the countries where this service can be used.

This is, without a doubt, an exquisite event for Montenegro, representing an important step towards the development of information society. Introducing PayPal as an online payment system is very significant for our citizens, but it is also a chance for business entrepreneurs to seize all the opportunities provided by e-commerce.

We remind you that the Ministry for Information Society and Telecommunications addressed the company PayPal with the request to include Montenegro in its system of online payment in 2009. After the intense communication with the representatives of this company, and after delivering necessary documentation which undoubtedly confirmed that there are no legal obstacles for introduction of this system in Montenegro, it was noted that all the prerequisites are fulfilled for PayPal to function properly in Montenegro.

Registration is carried out via official website www.paypal.com, and to activate your account valid e-mail address and payment card are necessary.

According to the common procedure, in this moment, the payments are enabled, and in future period the two-way flow of many will also be made possible.

Benefits provided by this system are, above all, related to the safety of the users’ data. Also, numerous online shops prefer this payment system over others, which directly affects the future percent of e-commerce in our country.
