DPM Lukšić hosts German Ambassador Pius Fisher on his farewell visit

Podgorica, Montenegro (19 June 2014) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Igor Lukšić hosted earlier today German Ambassador Pius Fisher on his farewell visit.

Montenegro has made significant progress towards European integration, which recommends it to become the next member of the EU after Croatia joined the European community, the Ambassador Fisher highlighted. He underlined the results achieved within the rule of law and fight against organised crime areas are remarkable and voiced expectation the Supreme State Prosecutor is to be appointed as quickly as possible. The Ambassador also commended the active role of the media representatives and the civil society in the socio - political discourse of Montenegro.

DPM Lukšić thaked Ambassador Fisher for his efforts and personal contribution to strengthening bilateral relations between Montenegro and Germany during his mandate. He stressed that Germany is seen a reliable partner of Montenegro in its European and Euro- Atlantic integration processes
