ANB Denies Assessments on Unlawful and Unprofessional Work
The National Security Agency (ANB), as part of security system of Montenegro, fully denies all assessments on unlawful and unprofessional work, which were given in statements of some party leaders, in the context of extending an invitation to Montenegro for the membership in NATO.
We consider the latest statement and initiative of leader of the Positive Montenegro to discuss the conducted reforms within the security sector, and thereby, within the National Security Agency during the first next session of the Committee for Security and Defence of the Parliament of Montenegro, to be the right place and opportunity to present the conducted reforms and achieved results in all segments of the work in ANB, which are continually realized, with a full partnership help and support.
While conducting the reform process, the Agency, as a serious state institution, attributes a special attention to strengthening the rule of law and building the confidence in the work of this institution, to further improving the confidence and cooperation on the international level, to achieving the standards which are necessary for a full interoperability with the services from the NATO member states, aimed at more quality addressing modern security threats.
It is just because of the achieved results that the Agency is encouraged, as it has been so far, to be committed, in the next period, to conducting the reform process, which is why, we consider a full cooperativeness and cooperation with the Committee for Security and Defence to be of special importance, as well as with other subjects which carry out the institutional oversight and control over the work of the institution, aimed at achieving the best standards, being applied in the countries with developed democracy.
The Agency will have the opportunity, during the session of the Committee for Security and Defence of the Parliament of Montenegro, to openly, as it did previously on several occasions, submit a detailed report on the realized activities, as well as on obligations, the Agency will face in the next period.
