DPM Lukšić hosts India’s Minister of State for External Affairs Vijay Kumar Singh

Podgorica, Montenegro (2 September 2014) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Igor Lukšić hosted India’s Minister of State for External Affairs Vijay Kumar Singh.
Minister Singh noted that bilateral relations could further be improved and added that cooperation in numerous fields should be boosted. He was hopeful the two countries would continue developing their relations and growing closer, and voiced his Government’s readiness to work to that end in the future.
DPM Lukšić reiterated the two countries’ traditionally friendly relations and emphasised the importance of their further improvement with the view to establishing cooperation in areas of shared interest. He informed his interlocutor with Montenegro’s progress in meeting its foreign policy priorities and was hopeful that Montenegro and India will in the future work together on boosting their overall cooperation, especially in the areas of economy, culture, and science.
The two officials also discussed other relevant international topics.
