PM Đukanović: Montenegro and India to boost cooperation in economy and investments

Podgorica, Montenegro (3 September 2014) – Montenegro and India cherish traditionally good bilateral and friendly relations which create enough space for strengthening economic cooperation, the meeting between Prime Minister Milo Đukanović and India’s Minister of State for External Affairs Vijay Kumar Singh stressed yesterday.

Prime Minister Đukanović informed Foreign Minister Singh about current political and economic developments in Montenegro, emphasising that Montenegro is one of the most dynamic investment economies. In that regard, he underlined that the two countries should boost cooperation in the field of investments through exchange of visits and organising presentations aimed at linking Montenegrin and Indian entrepreneurs.

Minister of State for External Affairs Singh highlighted that Montenegro has achieved great progress in all fields, adding that India is willing to support further development of Montenegro, as well as foster the business ties between the two countries.

In the coming period, the two countries should intensify activities related to the establishment of the interstate Committee for the economic cooperation, the meeting concluded.
