IMF Executive Director Snel: IMF willing to support reform process in Montenegro

Podgorica, Montenegro (3 October 2014) – Prime Minister Milo Đukanović hosted Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Menno Snel to discuss current economic situation in the country.

PM Đukanović highlighted that the partnership between Montenegro and the IMF is crucial for the economic recovery of the entire region, as a precondition for meeting European standards of quality of life.

Executive Director Snel commended Montenegro for the economic progress achieved so far, adding that the IMF is willing to support further reform process aimed at reaching stability and rising level of all economic parameters. In that regard, he particularly emphasised the importance of regional networking through implementing common infrastructure projects as a basis for the overall economic progress of the region.
