Macedonian FM Poposki: NATO and EU membership crucial for prosperity of entire region

Podgorica, Montenegro (8 October 2014) – Montenegro and Macedonia cherish friendly relations based on good and extensive interstate cooperation, the meeting between Prime Minister Milo Đukanović and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Macedonia Nikola Poposki stressed yesterday.

The two officials discussed European and Euro-Atlantic accession process of the Western Balkans, adding that NATO and EU membership are crucial for the overall prosperity and stability of the entire region.

Strenghthening the cooperation between the two states should be based on the contractual basis, particulary in the economy, tourism, energy and infrastructure, the meeting concluded.
