Comprehensive Regional Ministerial: Three Events, Three Formats, Three Days

Ministry of Defence is hosting Comprehensive Regional Ministerial-CRM which will be held from October 14 - 16, 2014 in hotel Splendid in Becici.

The aim of the meeting is harmonization of regional defence and security cooperation in Western Balkans and South-Eastern Europe within regional initiatives of the members of the U.S. – Adriatic Charter (A5) and the South- Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial (SEDM).

During the CRM the following meetings will take place: the Western Balkans Defence Policy Directors (WBDPD) Meeting, the U.S. – Adriatic charter (A5) Defence Ministerial, the South- Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial (SEDM), as well as joint meeting of all the participants of CRM. 

The CRM will be attended by 22 delegations from 16 countries, including representatives of international and regional organizations with more than 120 participants, among which 11 ministers (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine).

Organizing this event, Montenegro one more time confirms decisiveness to be reliable partner in all initiatives which are complementary with NATO concept of “smart defence” and EU „pooling and sharing“concept. The CRM also provides an opportunity for the defence ministers of A5 and SEDM member countries to meet and exchange ideas concerning issues of common interest, having in mind that none of the countries from the region has enough human or material resources for independent response to contemporary security challenges and threats.
