Czech Government fully supports Skoda Praha’s offer for construction of Block II of Thermal Power Plant Pljevlja

Podgorica, Montenegro (21 October 2014) – Montenegro's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Information Society and Telecommunications Vujica Lazović hosted  Czech Ambassador to Montenegro Ivana Hlavsova for talks on economic cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Hlavsova highlighted that Montenegro and the Czech Republic cherish traditionally good relations, adding the Czech Government is willing to support Montenegro towards its European and Euro-Atlantic integration process.

DPM Lazović underlined the significance of the bilateral cooperation between the two states as a solid basis for boosting economic relations and higher presence of Czech investors in Montenegro, stressing that economic cooperation should be intensified in tourism, energy and infrastructure.

Czech company Skoda Praha participates in the selection process aimed at choosing partner for the construction of the Block II of the Thermal Power Plant Pljevlja and that the company enjoys the Czech Government's full support, Ambassador Hlavsova emphasised. The Czech government guarantees that the quality of delivered goods and services will be in accordance with the highest European standards, she added.
