PM Đukanović, IMF's Alasdair Scott: Montenegro and IMF cherish intensive communication
Podgorica, Montenegro (28 October 2014) – Montenegro and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have established very good cooperation based on intensive communication and mutual trust, Prime Minister Milo Đukanović and IMF's Representative for Montenegro Alsadair Scot agreed at their yesterday meeting in Podgorica.
PM Đukanović particularly referred to stable parameters of the Montenegrin economy as a precondition for meeting the country's strategic goals - economic prosperity and overall economic and democratic development. In that regard, he highlighted the importance of comprehensive reforms and infrastructural development of Montenegro and the entire region.
Mr Scot underlined that the IMF is committed to continuing constructive cooperation with Montenegro in order to boost the country's overall development, adding that Montenegro should carry out reforms in the fields of labour market, pension and health care.
