Vrbensky of UNDP Montenegro: Montenegro commended for its integrated approach to undertaking actions

Podgorica, Montenegro (4 November 2014) – Montenegro has become an example of an integrated model in undertaking actions, recognised at the global level, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative to Montenegro Rastislav Vrbensky emphasised during his farewell visit to Prime Minister Milo Đukanović.

Mr Vrbensky highlighted the importance of PM Đukanović's personal support and commitment to boosting cooperation between Montenegro and the United Nations.

PM Đukanović underlined that continued cooperation, understanding and mutual consent on joint projects form a solid basis for improving relations between the UN and Montenegro in the coming period. He also thanked Mr Vrbensky for high quality cooperation during his mandate as the UN resident coordinator.

The two officials highlighted the synergy linking the UN programmes with the EU accession process, which contributes to the quality and effectiveness of the cooperation.
