PM Đukanović, OSCE's Dunja Mijatović discuss upgrading self-regulatory mechanisms, media standards

Podgorica, Montenegro (15 December 2014) – Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milo Đukanović hosted today the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatović for talks on the need to further upgrade self-regulatory mechanisms and media standards in Montenegro.
It was agreed that the OSCE's support has contributed to the achievements which have been made in that regard, but that further efforts need to be invested towards promoting dialogue within the media community.
Prime Minister Đukanović reiterated his government’s strong support for the OSCE’s activities aimed at upgrading media freedom representing a crucial prerequisite for further democratic development of the Montenegrin society.
