Podgorica, Montenegro (4 February 2015) -- The United States will continue to support Montenegro's NATO and EU bid, as well as its efforts towards improving the country's international image, as an important element in combating modern global challenges, outgoing US Ambassador Sue K. Brown emphasised during her farewell meeting with Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister Duško Marković earlier today.

Ambassador Brown thanked Deputy Prime Minister Marković and the Ministry of Justice for intensive cooperation that had been established, pointing out that joint efforts in strengthening the rule of law at intuitional and operational levels resulted in tangible results that directly benefit the citizens.

DPM Marković informed Ambassador Brown about the Montenegrin government's 2015 priority activities, focusing on rounding up the reform process in order to get NATO membership invitation by the end of the year.
