Montenegro’s official Twitter channel @MeGovernment 6th most followed in world in terms of percentage of national population

Podgorica, Montenegro (19 February 2015) – According to a survey conducted and published by the OECD and aided by Twiplomacy, Government of Montenegro’s official Twitter channel @MeGovernment is the 6th most followed official Government account in the world in terms of percentage of national population.

The survey was conducted in November 2014, and it places Montenegro below the UK’s Number 10 and several South American official institutions and ahead of the US, Israel, Slovenia, France, Croatia and many other world governments and leaders renowned for their social media prominence.
