Montenegro and Italy to fund 6 joint scientific projects in 2015-2016

Podgorica, Montenegro (19 February 2015) -- Based on the science cooperation programme, signed by Montenegro’s Science Ministry and Italian National Research Council (CNR), the Ministry of Science announced a competition for funding scientific and technological cooperation between Montenegro and Italy for the period 2015 - 2016.

At the competition for joint research projects, 10 project offers were submitted. Following the projects' evaluation and in line with the competition's terms and the both countries’ available budgets, a total of 6 projects were selected for implementation.

The projects are to be implemented in priority research areas, with the participation of scientists from both countries, in the form of joint visits of researchers participating in the projects.

A joint research project will last two years - from 21 January 2015 to 31 December 2016. The final report must be submitted within a 3-month period from the date of completion of the project (by the end of March 2017).
