Podgorica, Montenegro (23 February 2015) – Montenegro’s Open Government Partnership (OGP) Operational Team decided at its session held earlier today to launch the first round of broad public consultations by mid-March within the process of drafring the Second OGP Action Plan. It was unanimously concluded at the meeting that a consultation meeting with representatives from all segments of society, as a corner-stone of the OGP global initative’s functioning, would strengthen the legitimacy of the forthcoming Action Plan for Montenegro.

The Operational Team also adopted several technical decisions by consensus.
The Second Open Government Partnership Operational Team was appointed on 24 December 2014. The deadline for drafting the Second OGP Action Plan is 30 June 2015.
