Call for project proposals under the Bilateral Project Cooperation with the Kingdom of Norway

Ministry of Economy announces invitation for submission of project proposals to be financed within the scheme of bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Norway and Montenegro for 2015. According to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy of Montenegro and the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Royal Norwegian Government has been donating funds for a scheme of bilateral project cooperation since 2005. The overall objective for the Cooperation is to support Montenegro’s integration into Euro-Atlantic structures and priorities of the Government of Montenegro by supporting projects that contribute to reform processes and developing sectors in line with EU and NATO standards.

Please note that projects to be financed this year shall be from the following areas: 
• energy sector
• security sector 
• rule of law and justice 
• economic development, innovations and competitiveness
• environment protection and sustainable development

The eligible applicants are all state institutions and public enterprises whose project proposals are in line with the above listed priorities. The deadline for submission of project proposals is 1 April 2015. The application form can be downloaded here. Project proposals are to be in English language and delivered electronically, together with a detailed budget plan, to the Ministry of Economy to the e-mail address: svetlana.stijepovic@mek.gov.me. Project proposals which are not delivered in English language and in the application form envisaged herein shall not be taken into consideration.
