Response to Montenegro’s daily Dnevne novine piece entitled “Etihad wants to move Montenegro Airlines to Serbia”

Podgorica, Montenegro (26 February 2015) – Following several media outlets’ enquiries about the statements by Montenegro's Dnevne novine daily that the “top Government officials” will soon be presented with an alleged plan of moving the Montenegro Airlines headquarters to Belgrade, we wish to inform the public that no statements on this topic published on pages 16-17 and the front page of Dnevne novine on 26 February 2015 are correct
The Public Relations Bureau of the Government of Montenegro and the Sector for Media and Marketing of Montenegro Airlines wish to underline that they will remain, as ever, at the disposal of the Dnevne novine to provide clarification on all unofficial information they wish to publish should the daily wish to perform the checks in accordance with the Journalists’ Code of Montenegro.
