Canadian Ambassador Pinnington: Montenegro positive example among NATO aspirant countries

Podgorica, Montenegro (23 April 2015) -- Prime Minister Milo Đukanović hosted earlier today newly appointed Ambassador of Canada Philip Pinnington and wished him success in his diplomatic mission in Montenegro, commending traditionally good and friendly relations between the two countries.

The Prime Minister thanked Canada for its support for Montenegro’s NATO bid, which is particularly significant for meeting requirement within the intensified and focused dialogue.

Ambassador Pinnington pointed out that he considers his accreditation in Montenegro a privilege, adding that Montenegro is a positive example among NATO aspirant countries and that he will be focused primarily on the economy and advancement of overall relations between Podgorica and Ottawa.

Both sides voiced interest in strengthening economic ties, underlining that the Porto Montenegro, Canadian businessman Peter Mank’s development in the town of Tivat, is an extremely positive and stimulating example for all investors.
