Milan, Italy (1 May 2015) – On behalf of the Government of Montenegro, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Information Society and Telecommunications Vujica Lazović attended the opening ceremony of the 2015 Expo Universal Exhibition, hosted by Milan, Italy, from 1 May to 31 October 2015.

DPM Lazović highlighted that Montenegrin pavilion at this prestigious exhibition represents an outstanding opportunity for presenting Montenegro’s investment and tourism potentials.

Montenegro pavilion, designed by the world famous architect Marko Brajović, covers 375 metres square within the Bio-Mediterranean cluster related to the topics of health, harmony and beauty. The pavilion, a mix of traditional and modern, presents Montenegro’s typical food and drink, interactive tools and galleries. It is also a chance to promote the country as an attractive tourist and investment destination, advance cooperation with the host country and other countries participating at the exhibition, as well as to inform visitors about successful companies coming from Montenegro and make their products internationally known. Form and atmosphere of the pavilion has been taken from Montenegro’s tradition and natural beauties, presented through modern technologies.

Theme of the Expo Milan 2015 is “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”, which perfectly frames a cultural model and the efforts of Montenegro as it promotes its traditions, whilst responding to new economic and scientific influences.

More than 140 countries will participate and it is expected to welcome over 20 million visitors to its 1.1 million square metres of exhibition.
