PM Đukanović in Berlin: Montenegro's development potential basis for deepening cooperation with companies from Germany
Berlin, Montenegro (7 May 2015) – Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milo Đukanović met in Berlin with representatives of the Eastern Committee of German Economy to discuss economic cooperation between Montenegro and Germany.
Executive Director of the Committee Rainer Lindner pledged the association’s strong support to Montenegro and its economic development, stressing its huge development potential that makes businessmen from Germany deepen cooperation and implementation of new projects. He recalled of the last year committee's meeting in Budva, which voiced Germany’s full commitment to building partnerships with countries in the region with a view to boosting their economic development.
Prime Minister Đukanović thanked Germany for its support in promoting Montenegro's economic potential and developing partnerships with companies from Germany. He also stressed the importance of a shared vision on the future of the Western Balkans, reinforced by the Berlin process, which represents a strong impetus to enhance regional infrastructure. He also referred to Montenegro’s full commitment to pursuing structural reforms and advancing business environment in order to attract new investment and provide better quality of life in Montenegro.
Members of the Eastern Committee of German Economy - representatives of renowned companies in the fields of finance, transport, energy and information technology, spoke about positive experiences of their previous cooperation with Montenegrin institutions and new ideas and plans related to future projects.
