Transport Minister Brajović meets with representatives of Chinese Ministry of Commerce

Podgorica, Montenegro (11 May 2015) – Montenegro's Transport Minister Ivan Brajović hosted earlier today representatives of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, headed by Deputy Director General in the Department for Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Zhou Zhencheng.

The meeting paid particular attention to the Bar – Boljare highway project, which implementation officially started today. it is the most important infrastructure project for the state of Montenegro and one of many the CRBC is implementing worldwide, Minister Brajović underscored. He also emphasised the excellent cooperation established on the construction of four ships in China for Montenegrin companies. He recalled that when i all deadlines met, hopeful that such a practice would be continued during construction of the highway.

Deputy Director General Zhencheng pointed out that trade exchange between Montenegro and China has been increased by over 100% compared to 2014, and that there is room for boosting Montenegro's export to China. He also congratulated Minister Brajović on the successful start of construction works on the highway's  priority section.

Mr Zhencheng noted that the loan the Chinese EXIM Bank has approved to Montenegro is the highest loan amount in Central and Eastern Europe.
