PM Đukanović congratulates his UK counterpart David Cameron on re-election for second term of office
Podgorica, Montenegro (21 May 2015) – Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Đukanović extended congratulations to his UK counterpart David Cameron on his re-election for the second term of office.
In his letter of congratulations issued on Wednesday, PM Đukanović thanked the UK government for the continued support and assistance for Montenegro’s democratic and overall development, particularly referring to the PELT programme and other projects that contribute to the interoperability of the military, defense reforms and fulfilling numerous obligations from the Euro-Atlantic agenda.
Prime Minister Đukanović commented the excellent cooperation related to his country’s EU accession process, such as IPA - EUROL rule of law-related project, ProAccession programme dealing with building technical skills and formal communication with EU structures and the communication strategy being implemented in cooperation with the UK partners. The Prime Minister also emphasised the project of improving teaching of English to be implemented with the support of the British Council, which is very significant for European future of Montenegro.
Prime Minister Đukanović also voiced his government's readiness to establish contacts at all levels and boost bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries in all areas of mutual interest.
