Podgorica, Montenegro (26 May 2015) -- Prime Minister Milo Đukanović met earlier today in Podgorica with Robert Aderholt, a member of the US Congress and Co-Chair of the next year’s National Prayer Breakfast, who is staying in Montenegro on the occasion of participating in the discussion on NATO integration.

The Prime Minister thanked the US congressman for his commitment to Euro-Atlantic perspective of Montenegro and contribution to the continued partnership of Montenegro and the United States.

"Montenegro is on the right integration track, it is implementing reforms successfully and makes full contribution to regional stability and development," PM Đukanović said. He in particular stressed the importance of continuing the open door policy in order to overcome decades of lagging behind of the Western Balkans and strengthen its stability and prosperity.

Mr Aderholt pledged full support for Montenegro's accession to NATO and the reforms being carried out. He also emphasised the significance of further affirmation of Euro-Atlantic values of regional cooperation with a view to achieving full stability and prosperity.
